WTF is a Constructrr?

What the Freak is a Constructrr?

Look, I get it. You’re probably thinking, “Great, another buzzword.” But hang on a second. A Constructrr isn’t just some fancy title – it’s a whole new way of thinking about our industry.

So what’s with the extra ‘r’? It’s not a typo, I promise. Those Rs stand for “shared Risk, shared Reward” and “Respect for people.” Yeah, I know, it’s a bit on the nose, but stick with me here.

A Constructrr is someone who’s all in on Lean Construction. They’re the folks who are constantly asking, “How can we do this better?” They’re not just looking to cut costs – they’re trying to add value at every turn.

But here’s the kicker: Constructrrs aren’t just about the bottom line. They’re relationship builders. They know that a successful project isn’t just about bricks and mortar – it’s about the people. All of them. From the client to the subcontractors to the guy mixing cement.

Constructrrs believe in aligning everyone’s interests. When everyone shares the risks and the rewards, magic happens. Suddenly, you’ve got a team that’s actually working together instead of pointing fingers when ish hits the fan.

And let’s talk tech for a second. Constructrrs aren’t afraid of data or new gadgets using tech just to look cool. They’re using it to build better relationships and make better decisions.

Now, I’m not saying becoming a Constructrr is easy. It takes guts to challenge the way things have always been done. It takes patience to build those relationships. And yeah, sometimes it means swallowing your pride and admitting you don’t have all the answers.

But here’s the thing: our industry needs this. We need people who can see the big picture, who can bring people together, who can find a better way forward.

So, are you ready to be a Constructrr? Trust me, it’s one hell of a ride.
